My Story
I grew up in Northern New Jersey, where it was a pretty common thing to tell your friends you were heading “down the shore” for the weekend! I held a career in the fashion industry for 15 years, then went on to study and work in the world of wine. While employed at a boutique wine shop at South Street Seaport I enjoyed helping prepare grazing tables & charcuterie boards for wine tastings that were held in the store’s private event space. A new passion was born! I started creating impressive charcuterie boards for friends & family who encouraged me to take this new found talent to the next level. Down The Shore Cheese Boards was an idea that I thought about and talked about for years! I spent a good part of my life living in New York City being exposed to some of the very best tasting foods, and wanted to be able to share my favorite snack items with my customers here in New Jersey. When the pandemic hit, I had an opportunity to get away from NYC and head to Highlands, and I’m still here to this day. I was truly missing New Jersey life and being surrounded by nature! When I’m not making cheese boards, I spend my summer days tending to my extensive fruit & vegetable garden.
I worked 6 years selling designer handbags at the coveted department store Bergdorf Goodman, and ranked within the top 100 salespeople in the store 4 years in row. My time there taught me how to provide the highest level of customer service possible to my clientele. Down The Shore Cheese Boards offers a “white glove” service providing hand delivery to your doorstep at no additional charge. I want to help make entertaining feel stress free! I split my week working as a local beer sales rep, so I’m unavailable to offer charcuterie services Monday through Wednesday.
I watched as the cheese board business started to boom in other parts of the state and country, and decided in the Spring of 2022 to launch Down The Shore Cheese Boards. Living near the waterfront I thought... who wouldn’t want to have a boxed cheese board to take to the beach or out on the boat?
